While the book seems to be geared toward graduates and some of the pages appeal to them, this book is an overall reading for anyone going through some life changes. In this updated edition of the bestselling book, thirty-two additional pages of new content are included, as well as new excerpts, quotes, and scripture. Included are pages for personal goals, favorite verses of scripture, and prayers.Let The Journey Begin: Findng God's Best For Your Life fills us with wisdom, hope, God's love, and grace. It's a little book that you want to keep with you during your personal journey. When you get stuck on your journey or feel like you're losing hope use it as a reference tool to bring you back to center. Refer to the table of contents to guide your specific situation.This book is kind of a cross between a devotional, a gift book, and a book of advice. It is short (less than 200 pages) with around seventy or so readings. Each reading is about a page or two at most and all of them have a short quote or scripture to support them. It's not quite a devotional, in that it isn't all scripture or examination of scripture. I love the verses of scripture, and the Charting your Course at the end of the book there is a place to write down all of your goals. The daily reading is much needed for teens this day and time. It is sure to inspire them.This is such a wonderful book for those grads beginning their life journey.I gave this book 5 stars and I love the wisdom on every page. I plan to give this book as graduation gifts this year.I was given a copy of this book by the publisher for my honest review.

Here, they are thrust into the world trying to find their identity in a time of darkness, confusion, and uncertainty. This is where Max Lucado’s Let the Journey Begin comes in. It is a relatively small book which allows for easy transport and placing into a purse or the glovebox of car for example to call on time and time again.What makes this book especially great is where it gets its content. The book draws from many of Lucado’s books and devotionals as he has carefully and masterfully navigated scripture over the vast many years he has been writing. The intent is to fill the reader with a hunger for not only success in life, but hunger for a life that is spiritually nourishing in line with the Holy Spirit and Christ as companions for the journey.I would recommend this book as a graduation gift that replaces the cheesy ones that are so often given out. This is a newer edition of an older book, but that means it is updated to reflect the changes in society since the original publishing. That makes it worth getting as it stays on top of the current culture happenings.On the whole, this book gets four out of five stars from me. It does include quite a few additions from the prior publishing, but since it is largely a book of quotes, it was mundane to read the same quotes from the first publishing. For those who have not read the first book, this will not be an issue.
