0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. .. By Marlene Swarts I just became aware of this story, through a friend and give the author Fr. Tim 5 stars of COURAGE, for writing this. I do know this story of the 3 innocent boys, told in this book, as true because one of the boys is a relative of mine. . I feel it is about time that someone takes the time to get this out there as it was news at the time in local papers. To my knowledge nothing had been done further till now and shoved under the rug. This book written with truths and courage is one that has needed to be told, and hopefully something will come of change within the Catholic Church. "Tell the Truth" is how we were raised, now time for the Church to correct the wrongs that have been done, and "Tell the Truth" to all. I am still a Catholic, in my believe of God, but not with the way the church is handling this.

His account of his own journey and reflections on the state of the priesthood, parish and diocese life, the abuse crisis, and the treatment of women and homosexuals will resonate with many other Catholics in exile, or considering exile.
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Standing up to the Institution we call the Church By Fr. Ronald Lemmert I knew Tim Stier when we were both stationed at West Point. We both left the service to enter the seminary, and we both ended up as Whistleblowers. I commend him on his well-written book. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down until I finished it (at 2AM). I know from first-hand experience how difficult it is to stand up to the Institution that we were led to believe is "The Church," even though the Church is really the People of God, who have been badly shortchanged by the Institution. Like the prophets of old, we all need to "Cry Out for Justice" for all of the People of God today. We also need to oppose the bureaucrats who sacrificed innocent children to protect their reputations and careers.
