This compelling and controversial book strikes at the heart of Christian theology and Christianity itself. It presents a balanced and scholarly re-exploration of "one of Christianity's most offensive doctrines"-Hell and the greater issue of the extent of God's grace (mercy, love, compassion, justice) and wrath in the eternal, afterlife destiny for all people. Inside, conflicting views are re-evaluated, their strengths and weaknesses re-assessed, and all the demands of Scripture are reconciled into one coherent and consistent synthesized view. The author further suggests that our limited earthly view has been the problem, re-discovers the ultimate mystery of God's expressed desire, will, and purpose, and transcends troubling traditions as never before. Bottom line is, God's plan of salvation and condemnation may be far different and greater than we've been led to believe. In a clear and straightforward manner, this book lays out the historical and scriptural evidence as never before.

Review "The book is a real mental workout, and I like how you work so hard to get readers to look at both sides of the issue. So many of us are used to creating straw men out of those with whom we disagree that we find a balanced approach difficult to work through. . . . I am blown away by the subject and am really enjoying it . . . and learning a lot." --John Evans"Wow, John, you're bolder than I thought!" --Mary Erickson"Sheer arrogance. No one before has understood God's plan until you . . . came on the scene." --Roderick Edwards"I hope this message gains momentum in spite of its controversy. Of course any biblical correction will be controversial. . . . I'm so excited that this message is getting out." --Dana Salsbury"You are the best person I know to have addressed this subject. I will order a copy." --Larry Siegle

From the Publisher What They Are Already Saying on Facebook

FB#1 - "I heard Jesus talked more about hell than he did about heaven. Hmmmm....."

Noe - "Here's what Jesus literally said about `hell' - NOTHING !!!"

FB#2 - "`Gehenna' and `Hell' are one and the same by the way. It was the pit outside the walls of Jerusalem where garbage and bodies were tossed - and burned. It made for a great analogy of the spiritual condition of those who did not have the faith of Christ, both then and now."

Noe - "Want to bet ???"

FB#3 - "I agree John, so what is the final destiny of the wicked?"

Noe - "Lake of Fire and, perhaps, heaven."

FB#1 - "I'm confused by that John. Are you saying that the LOF is the same as heaven? Can you define what the Lake of Fire is for me? I am very interested in this John."

Noe - "One word - God."

FB#4 - "AWESOME! CANNOT WAIT."

FB#1 - "Ok, what happens to the wicked when they return to God? And what happens to the righteous? I agree that every spirit returns to God."

Noe - "The last chapter describes several different and possible scenarios. It is titled, `The Postmortem Experience.'"

FB#1 - "Can you tell me here?"

Noe - "Too much for here. That's why I wrote this 432-page book. It's unique, as you will discover."

FB#5 - "I will be ordering. Your last book was dynamite." - (The Perfect Ending for the World)

From the Author This synthesis approach is the product of more than twenty years of personal study, research, thinking, and collecting materials and conflicting opinions about one of the most arguable and troubling traditions of Christianity.

However, a friend insisted I read his copy and I did. Finished it yesterday and have told other friends about it. Ordered my own copy today to lend to others as need arises.First off right out of the box it is well written. It has a sense of humor that is contagious. I had agreed with the "Hell No" part for many years. What I found most compelling about the book is summed up in one word, "introspective."I can not recall reading any book that made me look at myself more than this one did. I had to think hard about my attitude, and the belief's that are at the root of it. For me the best part was Noe's dealing with degrees of reward and punishment. While Preterism has softened a good deal of my former hardness, this book has made me rethink my attitude even more. I can best sum it up with my worship this morning. I sang the song, "When We All Get To Heaven" with a totally new heart and voice. Did I agree with everything in the book? "Hell no!" Did 90% of it inform me with new thoughts and set me on a path of serious meditation? "Hell Yes!"Well done John, and may God bless you for all the ugly wrath that will certainly pour forth upon you from many quarters because of this book.Jack Gibbert

Full Disclosure: After studying this subject for several years, I am persuaded the Bible teaches the resoration of "all that died in Adam, the same ALL will be given spiritual life in Jesus Christ". Following Talbott, Klassen, & Bonda before him, Noe does a great job teaching this Pauline (Universalist position, IMHO) theme of the Adam-Christ parallel in Romans & Corinthians, even though his official position is positively centered around the Romans 11:33-36 mystery, period. I respect Noe for this. He's honest. This is so refreshing! I wish I could say the same for some in the Exclusivist camp, who say, "Yes, you really can't escape the fact that the Romans passages say "all means all in the Adam to Christ group", but them turn around and say, "But the Bible says over here, e.g. 2 Thess 1:8-9, that it just can't be because of 'eternal destruction' passages. Noe calls them out on this eisegetical dance (Murray, Moo) when they say the text can't mean what it obviously says, so they reinterpret the 'all in all' texts to say only those that receive Christ by faith. This is no longer acceptable. Noe has issued a summons to do some exegetical homework on this subject, e.g. study Ghenna topic & how long is 'eternal destruction' for starters. And, while you're at it, don't be so confident you know what you're talking about all the time. Translated: be humble, not arrogant -- and so cock sure your so right on this issue! Also, I applaud Noe's footnote work on Augustine's background, the fact that he didn't know or care to understand Greek and also his views on endless punishment and persecution of the masses seem to have more in common with rank paganism and Dante's comedy than Holy Scripture. Finally, I appreciate Noe's exploration of postmortem salvation possibilities and the all-consuming fire of God's love as an agent to redeem mankind ultimately. This chapter reminded me of Eller's work on the fact that the gates into New Jerusalem are always open for incoming traffic, and the only conceivable place for traffic to come from is the probable lake of fire. This is a thought provoking work to benefit and grow in your Christian journey. Noe takes the word of God seriously here and does some impressive homework on what Christian Universalists & Exclusivists think on this important topic. Get the book, get out your Bible and be a faithful Berean of the Word.

After 20 years of intense study, Dr. John Noe has blessed us with a provocative study of HELL without taking just one position on the matter. Noe's style is to research in depth every shred of material on every position possible (maybe a little overstated) and then synthesize all positions in a positive and negative format. Then, he requests that you evaluate and VOTE on each position. Most interesting format!! Four years ago, Noe presented his study to the "Thursday morning Bible study" (the group he mentions in the book). We listened, discussed and voted. The results shocked all of us. You will be too as you study and read TONS of Scripture (Noe is very stringent on the integrity of the Word). This most valuable study also releases the reader to have a deeper appreciation for the Grace of God and how God desires to LOVE us into the Kingdom of God--here and NOW. This book is not for the opinionated person who relies solely on what he has been taught (most of which is warped by bad theology and human distortions of the revealed WORD of God. It is not for the faint of heart who will not be open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit!!! In using the Berean Method (searching the Word to see if these things are true), the reader will come to a wider and deeper love of how God has revealed Himself in CHRIST through history. Reader, be prepared to study the Bible like you never have. One reader related to Noe that he had spent weeks just reading all the Scriptures stated and found a new level of understanding---a level that the Church will never take (because the Church does not seek TRUTH but allows only the support of their man-made teachings and doctrines). In fact, when you read the "doctrine of reserve" in the book, you will be disturbed at the narrowness of the Church (the historical church) and discover why we are so steeped in CHURCH-ianity and not CHRIST-ianity. Noe's rather unique style of NOT asserting ONE position and "trying" to support it (to convince you that he/she has the REAL truth about the subject) is most refreshing. This book is like his earth-shaking book recently released entitled "The Perfect Ending FOR the World" (His study of the Revelation and Eschatology). Finally, I assert and proclaim that the Christology presented by Noe in all his books proclaim a Savior-Christ who is "God in the flesh" and the Christof the Revelation who redeems His people. THIS BOOK WILL BLESS YOU WITH TRUTH AND GODLY WISDOM.By all means, do not allow title or subject matter scare you away from the book. Reading this book is like receiving "a gift from God." NOTE: I have known John Noe as a Brother in Christ for more than 25 years and I openly testify to his integrity and profound dedication to Christ and the Body of Christ. His journey of Faith has led him to lay his reputation and convictions on the line for his Christ who is his LORD. You will clearly discern Noe's commitment as he opens his heart, the Bible and the half-truths of the historical Church for your discernment.
