By Lori I have read four other excellent books about the misinterpretation of Bible verses that are used to keep women out of fulfilling their callings and destinies in the Body of Christ. The correct teaching in God's Magnum Opus about those verses far exceeds all of those other books! I have already given several copies away to other women and to men. As far as I'm concerned, this book is a must-read for anyone who has even one question about even one of the Bible verses.

I was also challenged by the book, since I have been on the other side a lot. I know God loves woman, and we are special to Him. I glad she took the time to research this out and put out a book in our defense.

I have not read it all, but I am sure the rest will be as good as the first three chapter.But I believe that in order to make the stone, one have to become the stone, as the alchemist is the 5th essence... it is not a just a chemical compound...Thanks Erick for writing this book.

The first issue was several sentences which started in one tense and ended in another. The second issue was that in one place, a wrong character's name was used. (On page 100, the authors wrote "Mrs.Higgins" when the character speaking an being described was very clearly Mrs.Finch.) Of less importance, were a couple of spots in which American-style wording was used, which watered down the Britishness a bit. Overall, a good book. Would definitely read the sequel!

By Elizabeth I was totally impressed by the characters, the scenarios, and the writing - that is, until chapter 17 when, like a whirlwind, the characters dramatically dropped out of character, and the scenarios became forced, wildly over-the-top, and simply unbelievable. What a disappointment.

This story picks up after the Embassy Ball and I absolutely loved it! I immediately heard the voices of Audrey Hepburn, Rex Harrison, Wilfrid Hyde-White and Mona Washbourne.A “loverly” idea to turn Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins into sleuths. They make a wonderful team. The barbs they throw at each other are hilarious and so true to their characters. Colonel Pickering is still the voice of reason and Mrs. Pearce is there to soothe flustered feathers and keep everyone’s belly full.The author has us travel all over London even back to where Higgins found Eliza selling flowers. With Higgins as the prime suspect Eliza is determined to prove his innocence. While doing so she puts herself in danger and still there is no one that is able to give Higgins an alibi. It seems Mr. Henry Higgins has a secret and even though revealing it would prove his innocence he is unwilling to give any details to anyone. I was very surprised by this secret and it is the one thing that left me a conflicted about the story, but as with all stories the reader just has to follow where the author leads.This is a fantastic story. It is suspenseful but tempered with a good bit of humor. I may not have been dancing but I stayed up all night to finish reading this delightful mystery. I was laughing at loud in places which disturbed Mr. Dollycas but I couldn’t put this book down. Charming, captivating, engaging, and a must read. “Where the devil are my slippers?” I am ready to read the next installment of this series right now!

Fortification for suffering By oleralf The author reveals the ultimate answer for this season of living in a post christian nation, encased in this human body and facing various trials and testing beyond our ability to endure in and of ourselves, we need a greater unveiling of the greatness of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1:1-3 is one place to meditate upon for hours. The amplified Bible is outstanding in it's amplification of these three verses. May The Father inscribe these words of His power on and in our hearts.

About the Author I am an acupuncturist and Buteyko Breathing teacher with my own practice in Dublin (Ireland) since February 2001. I have been practicing acupuncture for over 14 years and have trained in various forms of what I feel are the most powerful acupuncture systems around. I trained full time in China after studying for a year in Ireland. I have spent almost 18 months in total studying in the International University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Nanjing and I interned with many of their affiliated hospitals. I have spent almost 6 months as an Intern with Dr. Han Yan studying abdominal acupuncture (Fu Zhen). I currently teach abdominal acupuncture (AA) to final year and qualified acupuncturists through my Centreforce school, I am also a published author of a number of articles on the subject of abdominal acupuncture. This is my first book on “Mastering the Art of Abdominal Acupuncture” and it is intended as a teaching manual for qualified acupuncturists and students of acupuncture. I have spent over 3 years writing this book and it is a culmination of 14 years practical clinical experience using AA in my clinic Dan-Tien Complementary Health Studio, and also from my experiences teaching AA through Centreforce Abdominal Acupuncture. I've been an acupuncturist for about 20 years now; and have heard about Bo Zhiyun's method of abdominal acupuncture; but had not had the opportunity to study and apply it. I recently picked up this volume; and read it over the weekend. The author presents the material very thoroughly in such a way that any reasonably experienced acupuncturist should be able to apply it. After reading the book over the weekend, I returned to clinic; and, when appropriate, applied it. Worked brilliantly. One of the nice things about this method is that it is completely painless, and can address symptoms throughout the body.This book is well structured; and is the distillation of the author's teaching the material over several years. The only criticism I have is over the graphics. They are just too small for people like myself who have bad eyesight. Fortunately, there are some larger charts in the back. I highly recommend this for any acupuncturist wanting to add a new tool to his toolbox.

By MLW dave is amazing, I didn't know much about abdominal acupuncture other than its distal nature....using the stomach as the main focus of its points. I enjoyed his book not only from a "writing" perspective but also from an instructional perspective. I am know using abdominal points, based on this book, and I have totally enjoyed the results...and so have my patients. Very cool! on many levels, im phsyced about it and cant wait to learn more!!!thank you DAVE!!! job well done! keep going!

There are many systems of acupuncture other than what we have originally learned in school. Korean Hand, scalp, auricular, Tan/Tung-- to name a few. I have studied these systems and find them all extremely valuable depending on the situation. And now for another system, abdominal.I purchased Dave Shipsey's book a month ago and am now on my second reading of the material. It is compelling. It is a beautiful system that works painlessly and precisely especially for pain conditions. I feel there is poetry here in being able to image the body based on the image of the turtle and the ba gua. I am of the opinion that it is able to address the "root" of many conditions, going beyond the "branch."I became so excited when I read this book, and I just so happened to have a patient vacationing in Ireland. I asked her to contact Dave Shipsey for an appt. as I wanted to hear her firsthand account of this method. She saw him for knee pain, hip pain and diabetic neuropathy. We talked on the phone shortly after her treatment. She was very enthusiastic and felt definite improvement in her painful conditions. She told me the treatment didn't hurt one bit. She confirmed the claims Dave had made in his book.The book is very clearly written and one can learn the system from it. That being said, I hopefully will be able to take a training in this method at some point. Definitely 5 stars!

Mortimer I was attracted to both the cover and description of this book quite a few months ago, so I was over the moon when the publisher offered to send me a paperback copy to review. Firstly, I’d like to apologise to the author and publisher for taking so long to review this book. I allowed my husband to help me tidy the house one day, resulting in the book going missing. I feared he had put it out with the recycling, but as if by magic it reappeared a few weeks ago. I’m so pleased it did, as this is a great book I’m so pleased not to have missed out on.On the face of it, Real Monsters is a book about war and terrorism. However, once you get into the story, it is clear that this isn’t just about the goodies fighting the baddies, it takes you beyond the physical acts of violence, covering the physical and emotional impact war has on soldiers, and what it is like for family left at home while their loved ones are fighting in another country. It makes you question, what are we fighting for? Who are the real monsters in all of this? Does war create more monsters rather than rid the world of them?Real Monsters is very emotive and thought provoking. Having given my heart and soul to this book, I was a bit of a wreck by the end, having the urge to cry hysterical tears. I managed to hold them back, but it wasn’t easy. I’m not even sure exactly why it left me feeling so emotional, be it my own personal involvement with the military or my frustration at the world, but it did, and in my eyes, that’s the sign of a well written novel.I loved the format of this book, the way the story is told in the form of letters, alternating between a man and a woman writing to their son. I think this was very cleverly done, and covered two very different angles of the same situation.The sections written by the soldier, were graphic and brutal, and some of the language, although most of which I can confirm is very much authentic, some readers may find offensive. I did question one particular word with my husband, which he says he’s not personally heard being used during his time in the military, but with the exception of that one word, all other, shall we say, nicknames were familiar to my husband and myself, making the soldier’s experiences feel even more real. These sections moved slower than those from Lorna’s viewpoint, but that made sense, after all, how fast does time pass when you’re on a military mission in the desert.As both a female and someone who is married to a man who has been in the Royal Navy for 15 years, I found it really easy to relate to Lorna. After many years, having a husband going away for long period of time does get easier. I remember the days when he was away for two weeks feeling like forever, but nowadays a fortnight goes by in a flash. One thing that never gets easier are the goodbyes though, especially when he’s going away for a few months. Those goodbyes are heart-breaking and I can feel my heart racing just thinking about it. I did have a giggle at Lorna going to the Military Spouses Meet-up club, as I was a member of the Navy Wives Club many years ago, and the wives there were also at least 2, more like 3 decades older than me.Although, Lorna’s story was the one I connected with the most, the soldier’s letters are a constant reminder that this is going on somewhere, right now. Turning a blind eye to it because you either don’t approve of war or just don’t wish to think about it, doesn’t make it any less real for those involved. People are dying every day because we as humans haven’t yet grasped how to get on with each other.You can choose to stick your head in the sand, or you can read books like this that make you think about a very real situation that is going on now. Then you could pass the book onto someone else, and have a conversation about it, and perhaps one day when enough of us talk about this kind of thing, we might come up with a solution to rid our world of hatred and violence without the use of further hatred and violence. What a wonderful world that would be.

By Carolyn Hertz I received a free kindle copy of Real Monsters by Liam Brown, published by Legend Press from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.I gave this book about the atrocities of war five stars, even though I found it deeply disturbing at many levels. It's written from the dual viewpoints of Danny, the soldier husband & Lorna, the stay at home wife. There were many convoluted strands woven throughout the story. The end was completely unexpected.Here are three quotes I found significant. "'He ain't gonna last long in the field--he's got the sense of an f....n cockroach!' Schwartz winked at me. 'Which coincidentally is the only thing that will survive a nuclear holocaust...'""...this was a world where an unpaid credit card bill could follow you over continents & decades, where every square centimeter of the Earth had been mapped by satellites & drones. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Contend we must! But not contentiously. By S. Brogden For so many Christians, ignoring false teaching or personal offenses is the highest calling. "Judge not!" is their cry - failing to read the larger context and the clarion call of Scripture for Christians to humbly judge with righteous judgment - not by our own "wisdom". And hence the related issue - "be angry and sin not". God has righteous anger, untainted by sin. We do not. Hence the reminder to walk humbly before man and God - and to hate sin and love truth as He does.Anton Bosch is a dear brother who has served well and desires to bring honor and glory to God, not biuld a name for himself. This book, as with another excellent book he has written (Building Blocks of the Church: Re-examining the Basics) is a much needed and sometimes provocative work that will cause all who name the name of Christ to stop and consider how we each live.This book is not so much to teach the reader how to contend, although it does that. I think its higher goal is to teach the reader how to examine himself so that he can take the splinter out of his brother's eye.

The Lord has thrown a pillar of righteousness from the heavens to crush the head of the serpent and you are holding it in your hand. The wisdom of God is contrary to the way of our natural minds; we believe we need to be strong, and the last thing we want is to become weak or come to the end of ourselves. We have a survival instinct which causes us to just keep on keeping on with the works of the flesh; one more time around the mountain, one more attempt in our own strength and maybe, if we tell the same story one more time, it might finally become the truth. But it never does, and the flesh always produces the same bitter harvest, always bringing forth the same briars and thorns. Volume One: Out of the Darkness, is about coming out of the denial, and out of the shadows so that we may enter into the secret hiding place of the Most High God, because it’s not in the shadows, and you won’t find it in the darkness, nor will we find it, if we allow the darkness to remain hidden within our own hearts. It also cannot be found through pretending, and many of us have become very skilled at pretending. Some of us even confused pretending with faith, thinking if we just pretend long enough, and believe hard enough that the pretense is real, something magical is going to happen, and God is going to turn our lies into the truth, but God does not turn lies into truth; lies remain lies for as long as we hold onto them and hide them within our hearts. When we finally find the courage to search our hearts, and trust Jesus enough to obey him, then we’ll finally embrace the truth, and we will finally be ready to let the truth come out of us. Coming Out of the Darkness is the first step in finding the truth that will set us free.

Like a surgeon's knife it will circumcise your heart and convict you, which is what is desperately needed in this complacent age. If you want to truly prepare spiritually for what is about to happen, please read the message in this book. I have never gotten this much freedom as I have since beginning to fast. Through fasting I was able to overcome major strongholds. Fasting seems to break down your hardened heart so that God can start working on your heart without all the pride and defensiveness (breaking up your fallow ground). For whoever has ears to hear. The time is short to get our hearts right with The Lord. I encourage all true believers to heed the messages outlined in the book. For those of us who are weary of false comforts and false assurances - this book will shine a light into your heart if you allow it to.
