Ray The Secret by Rhonda Byrne posits that thought is the most powerful force in the universe. The author holds that negativity breeds more negativity, and that thinking positively makes good things happen. While the belief that positive thinking can lead to positive outcomes, the author casts too wide a net with her view that even childhood disorders stemming from genetic defects are a result of negative thinking. While the book is buttressed with input from a number of noted authors and thinkers on the power of positive thinking, it’s possibly dangerous to subscribe to the view that all it takes to put things right is to change the way you think.Key Takeaways, Analysis & Review of Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret by Instaread is a thoughtful, unauthorized summary of Byrne’s book that highlights the key points of the book, with a rather more detailed analysis of each. This is the most important role of Instaread’s reviews in my view. They allow a reader to get a sense of the work without having to pay full price for it.

INSTAREAD PROVIDES A VALUABLE SERVICE By Robert Steven Thomas This is an overview of the actual book “The Secret.“ Kind of like an abbreviated Cliff's Notes for the full book. It provides a potential reader enough information regarding this book’s content to determine if we want to invest the extra money and time to actually buy and read the entire book. The author and her associates have taken the major principles originally written by American philosopher Napoleon Hill in his landmark 20th Century book "The Law of Success" re-editing and taking his self-improvement theories into a more current modern style. As an avid reader I have personally found “Instaread” to be a very helpful and valuable service.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. ~~ Is thought the most powerful force? ~~ By Richard and Liz Described as a book in the New Thought tradition, the original book by Rhonda Byrne theorizes that thought is the most powerful force in the universe. In this Instaread summary (think DETAILED review) the reader will soon discover if this is something they agree with and want to pursue or disregard.There are 8 Key Takeaways stated and discussed in this summary. Here are a couple to whet your appetite:>> #5 - "As soon as a request is made by thought, the requester must believe that the request has been received and that it will be fulfilled as soon as the requester wants it.">> #8 - "The universe is abundant enough to provide for the requests o an individual as well as every human being if they all use the law of attraction."What is the law of attraction? "Accepting the law of attraction also means that victims of genetic disorders, cancers and otherwise unpreventable diseases made themselves vulnerable by thinking they were vulnerable to those conditions." Yes, as you can see from the above statement, the contents of the original book could be somewhat controversial and potentially offensive to some.On the other hand, most of us would probably agree with the following statement:"Confident people attract more attention and opportunities that anxious people..."According to the author, how you request something depends on how you ask. "No more bills" should be "More checks in the mail." Instaread describes the original book as being written in a conversational style with little scientific discussion. Don't have the time to read the original but want to know what the book is about? This short read is a good place to start.
