About the Author Andrea Faulkner Williams is a writer, marketer, wife, mother and returned sister missionary. She served her mission in the Illinois, Nauvoo Mission in the Visitors' Center as well as the Colorado, Colorado Springs Mission. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's Degree in Latin American Studies and currently works from home as the social media strategist for a financial services marketing company. Currently serving as The Young Womens President in her home ward, she and her husband Brian live in San Diego with their two babes, Josie Jean and Walker Todd. Faulkner Serving as a sister missionary is a great experience, but it requires a complete change in lifestyle and thinking. As as result it can be hard to readjust. I wish I could have read something like this when I returned from my mission forty years ago - it would have made life a little easier! Women face a unique set of challenges, and Andrea Williams fills a need here by addressing those challenges with humor, wisdom and spirituality. It's interesting to see what dozens of other women have to say about these issues as well, and she does a great job of weaving their comments into the narrative. I'd recommend this book to anyone who has served a mission or is going through a transitional phase, such as from working wife to stay-at-home Mom, from Mom to Grandma, etc. There are places to record your thoughts and keep track of your progress, so it's a workbook as well. A great gift idea!
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. A Great Read for All Sisters, Moms, Wives etc etc!! By Shannon This book was such an inspirational read for me. Even though I am not Mormon I could relate to the overall theme of the book which is how to be the best version of yourself in a transitional time of your life. From figuring out how to dress, to finding time to serve God in a time when we are so focused on serving ourselves, it covers such important topics for all women. Andrea does a fantastic job of making her words so relatable and the stories and advice really resonated with me. This book will definitely be one I turn back to often and reccommend to others!!

When I got home from my mission, I received many "adjusting" to normal life books. And this was the best one by FAR! I also gave it to one of my companions when she got home, and she just said it was the bomb. Andrea knows how to put it into to words. She is bold and loving and makes you feel like you can take on the challenge. I would recommend this to any sister RM. It's the perfect gift and perfect advice. Great stories, funny, real, and an easy read.
