3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Statins: the biggest scam in history By Christopher Wunsch Very informational book...not skewed by money...the data that I fact checked was accurate. Cholesterol is an essential element, present in every cell in or body. Statins block the Acetyl co a reductase enzyme in the mevalonate pathway, which when inhibited, also inhibits the production of dozens of other molecules essential for life, such as vitamin d, dolichols, steroid hornones, testosterone, estrogen, to name a few.
