Book Every Parent and Grandparent Needs By Elva Cobb Martin Andrea Merrel has done a superb job sharing her journey from heartbreak to triumph when both her son and daughter turned away from all they'd been taught in their dedicated Christian home. Yes, I said Christian home. There are important principles she outlines that every parent or grandparent would do well to grasp. Whether you are dealing with a prodigal right now (of any age) or in the process of raising children or grandchildren you need to have this book on your shelf and in your heart. It's a quick, life-changing read for all parents or grand parents. One of the most powerful principles she stresses is praying and confessing the Word of God over your children or grandchildren daily and she gives you 30 days of these prayers. Her son and daughter are both now restored and living productive lives.

Andrea uses real life illustrations that are relatable to the reader. I especially love the section where her prodigals give advice from their own experience of what helps and what doesn't. I'd highly recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with a prodigal child...
