Today, more and more people end up suffering from chronic conditions without always understanding why. We are all witnessing a scary rise in diabetes, heart disease, auto-immune disease or even allergies. What will happen to our children when they reach our age? People are getting tired of the seemingly powerless solutions often offered by Western medicine, so they embark upon a quest, a search for an alternative in order to recover their health. This book is a collection of true stories, all sharing what people went through, how they managed to recover from fibromyalgia, diabetes, depression, serious allergies or even multiple sclerosis, just to name a few. What did they do differently? Did they heal? How long did it take them? All these questions and much more are addressed within these pages. Hope is not gone. You can change your faith today, right now, where you are, by implementing a few changes in the food you eat, the lifestyle you live, the way you move your body and by discovering and trying sometimes old but true healing methods that have been used for thousands of years. This is the promise of this book. This is your body; this is your life...... regain control and heal.

Their Vulnerability and honesty are inspiring By Carmen M Prieto Navarro When we read the stories of real people like us that has overcome their health issues and became stronger in the process, you begin to believe your issues and problems are there to teach you, to make you stronger and help others do the same.I like the open and honest way the stories are presented.

How to break through the stigma and mask of anxiety disorder" by Dr. Maral Yazdandoost, ND to review.Dr. Maral tells her story of how she went into naturopathic medicine when she found herself struggling with anxiety in university and didn't get any answers through conventional routes. It's a story I've heard numerous times from others who grew disillusioned with allopathic care and turned to complementary alternative treatments to get the relief they needed.Maral's story is worth reading, because she not only outlines how she made the connection between her symptoms and their root cause, but also because she raises questions about how we view illness in the mind or body.My favourite quote from the chapter is this: "In my eagerness to establish the connection of the mind to the body, by labeling myself as having a panic disorder, I ignored the connection the body has to the mind."That body-mind connection is often overlooked. Illness in the body can have repercussions in the brain, affecting mood and behaviour. Anyone struggling with symptoms that defy diagnosis would be interested in reading this.

An inspiring read for all By Country Girl Not only is this book interesting and pleasurable to read, it is also a great source of information and advice. Unlike other books on a similar subject, you get first-hand experience and knowledge passed on by the authors with specific details of what they did and how they did it to turn around their lives and improve their health. They provide actual references to foods, vitamins and minerals they have used as well as targeted exercise routines which allows the reader to fully grasp and embrace the various subjects covered.
