About the Author Pat grew up in a family with a rich military history. And, growing up in a military family, she says, is both fun and frustrating. Fun because there are always new places and new faces. New schools with new rules. And, frustrating because you are always saying goodbye to some you're not ready to leave. It's a challenge with its own rewards. She still loves meeting new people and seeing new places, which she does by doing mission work and being a part of the Disaster Relief Team. She currently lives in North Georgia and is an active member of her church. She is working on a new book.

A Heartwarming Story With Plenty of Drama By Stan Hjerleid In our daily news cycle concerning veterans, we sometimes forget that behind the scenes are a lot of heartaches and family adjustments faced by the families involved. This book captured for me the behind the scenes drama that I seldom consider. After reading this book, I guarantee you that you will view the veteran family reunions you see on the TV news in a new light.I read a lot of thrillers so at first I was apprehensive if I would like a book that was about commitment, courage, love, and faith. Not to worry, me apprehension was dispelled within the first couple of chapters.I highly recommend this excellently written book by an author that definitely has an insight coming from a military family. As an added bonus, it may even re-invigorate your faith.

I became hooked and could not put the book down at one point - totally had to sneak off and ignore the family for a bit to see how it ended.Often times we overlook how the entire family of our service men and woman are affected by military life and struggles. This paints a picture of the hurt that the family shares, the support of the military "family" and the hope of Jesus Christ in the middle of it all.

I was hooked by page 30 and finished the book in one afternoon! Her characters are believeable and admirable. It is so refreshing to read a book where Jesus, the Word, and our #military are honored. Read it and buy it for your friends looking for a delightful read. "Well done, Pat";)
