It is not only a quick read but an interesting one too. I loved the fact that it is easy enough to understand. The book made me want to know more about meditation and motivated me to do more research online. I also found myself wanting to try meditation. The book is right, meditation can be a little tricky at first but the book also explains how to not give up on meditation but rather be patient with learning it. I especially liked how the author included meditation apps. Life without apps is a sad one. I will certainly be downloading a few meditation apps.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Too often the "woo-woo" produces "whoa whoa" for many. But this book is solid and practical By Rob Natiuk This book fulfills the author's promises. It's direct without any hype, but lists the benefits from his research and firsthand knowledge. His "7 Benefits of Meditation" are practical and without "woo-woo." He sets a solid background for self-motivation and belief in this practice. Then he clearly explains the different meditation techniques and how to choose what would be best for the reader.Deep breathing is one of the best and most sensible health practices we can adopt, whether it's for meditation or for just filling out bodies with fresh and sufficient oxygen. Of course there will be obstacles to learning meditation and practicing it on a regular basis. The author points these out and how to overcome them. The selection of resources is short but well-rounded.I appreciate the author telling a little about his background. He comes across as "one of us," no holy man or guru. Just sharing what he has learned and uses in his own life.
