By Jane My husband bought this book and recommended that I read it and share my thoughts with him about it. I usually don't read many books anymore, but this one was easy to read and gave good information. I wish I had it years ago when I went through some of the worst parts of menopause. I started early, but that didn't mean I ended quickly! Toward the end of that time, I met a lady who worked at the health food store. She told me some things about changing my eating and taking some vitamins and minerals. Those suggestions worked. This book has all those and much more. I'm going to be recommending it to ladies at church who are struggling with PMS, cramping, and some of the other problems that go with menopause. I am thankful also to know that there's hope for having less frequent and less severe hot flashes. The book also contains information that is helpful to me today. I've struggled with my weight all my life. My husband lost about 50 pounds last year. I tried, but I just couldn't manage to make myself eat some of what he was eating during the early part of that time. This book gives some good explanation about some of my weight problem and some excellent​ tips for losing it. My only problem will be with portion control. My husband has already been preparing some of these foods that Beran Parry has in other books. He says these are very similar, so I'm going to give it a try. I haven't been this hopeful about getting it under control in years. I may update this review with some results later.

I have gained some weight since menopause which I am finding extremely difficult to lose. I believe the suggestions in this book will really help. This book could actually work for just about anyone...not just menopausal women. The advice is well researched and well written and if you follow the suggestion in this book you WILL lose weight...no doubt about it..

My mom is currently at this stage of her life and sometimes I just can’t understand the mood she is in. She started to get pickier with foods and sometimes it is really irritating. She has been telling me that there is a certain diet that we can follow to have a very healthy menopausal journey and honestly I never thought that diet can give some relief or comfort for somebody who is undergoing menopausal.So, as I was checking on menopausal books I bumped into this menopausal cookbook and thought that this is the book I am looking for. The topic of this book is not limited to the health of women who are going through this stage. The author has also included best recipes that can provide comfort to their journey.As I love cooking I like that this book has also offered recipes for me and can surely benefit my mom in some ways. And so far my mom loves the Delicious Turkey Veggie Lasagne.
