It discusses the common causes of binge eating and a few brilliant techniques in dealing with the problem. It also introduces exercise regimen that could help overcome the disorder, also included excellent advice on how to distinguish hunger from cravings, structural changes and highlights that a little lifestyle change can make a lot of difference. Excellent book!

Full of Informative Tips and Tricks By Stacey Storino This book does have quite a bit of information about binge eating in it...the topic hits home since I have a very good friend with this problem, and I wanted to kind of have an "insider's view" as to the disorder. I do honestly wish that the sources were more specifically cited to--i.e., to say that "based on a couple of research findings" isn't really definitive. But, hey, I'm a lawyer...we live and die by citing our sources, so perhaps the average person would have no trouble with this point, LOL. But otherwise, this book is packed with what appears to be great advice--I'd be happy to share this book with both my friend and a mutual friend who's always worried about her. The section on undertaking structural changes was especially enlightening to me. And "Daily Tips for 30 Days to Overcome Binge Eating" in Chapter 4? Very, very nice!

This book is not about learning to lose weight, like eating low fat or healthy foods. This book is about learning to eat what your body truly craves when you are hungry, enjoying it and stopping when you are full. This book can help you learn to love, respect and accept your body. You can move beyond negative thoughts about your body and past your preoccupation with dieting.
