The purpose of Tantric Massage was not merely to educate masses about different massage techniques, and also to promote a healthy relationship between the partners and constructively use sexual energy. This book teaches how to do it and gives a brief history about it.

I love how basic and easy it is to understand and follow. Chapter six that covered the basic techniques was one that really grabbed my interest. It covered everything from maintaining intimacy, going slow and why it’s important to not rush through how to focus on your breathing, changing up positions. Multiple orgasms, in men and woman and how to achieve them. clitoral stimulation and on and on. I decided to talk to my spouse about giving some of this a shot. We put it to the test and after a few weeks the results were electrifying.

He's not entirely English, he has a look of Eskimo around the eyes which marks him out for special treatment at school") and Victory's clairvoyance. Admirers of Katherine Dunn's Geek Love may find the oddities of this family tame, but Gregory's slapstick delivery and colorful language create an Alice in Wonderland sense of the surreal ("My mother had been experimenting for weeks with the concept of time. Clocks in The Cornflake House had spun backwards, chimed when it was not the hour, jerked their troubled hands forwards as if learning to drive"). Alternately, her compassionate observations of the affection that binds these kids to each other and to Victory ground the story in authentic family life. By rebelmomof2 It is an absolutely wonderfully written novel ~~ from the very first word ~~ you are captured by Gregory's voice in this novel. She admits in the fly jacket that she was inspired by a house her father had built and boy, is this story colorful and vividly charsmatic. You cannot put this book down! I can guarantee that!Written in a first-person narrative, Eve is the oldest of 7 children and the daughter of a exceptional woman, Victory, Eve tells the story of The Cornflake House children. Fathered by different men and raised by a single mother, Eve describes a non conventional family whose various talents are always at odd with the rest of society. Eve narrates this story from her berth in prison ~~ where she was accused of arson and of murdering her mother. How she got there and what happens after the court case are what makes this novel so unique. I can't tell you too much ~~ only pick up this book and read for yourself!I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a first-person narration ~~ but this one beats all. Gregory writes very vividly and with imagery ~~ and she never lets you forget the plotline of the story. She keeps switching back and forth from Eve's childhood to adulthood, but the switch is done so gently as if she is a master storyteller. She is a master storyteller ~~ one of the best I've encountered in a long time. Since this is her debut novel ~~ I am anxious to read what else she has written.If you are looking for a story about family ties ~~ I highly recommend this book. Eve will share with you her story and she won't disappoint.5-8-02

Instead her visitor, Matthew Prithcard, simply stole her ability to speak. Once Matthew left, Eve decides to write to her extraordinary visitor, whom she has fallen for in a blink of an eye, explaining herself and her family.Eve is the oldest of seven children sired by different fathers. Her mother Victory used her abilities to see the future to attain first prize in a cereal contest. To the chagrin of their new neighbors, Victory and her seven children move into a brand new house in a classy part of town. Instead of trying to fit in, the family enjoyed shocking their staid neighbors. However, this only made things turn ugly as their biased neighbors think the worse of Victory and her horde. Eve has her own child, a teenage boy who has been in trouble with the law and now lives somewhere on the streets. With her trial about to begin, Eve hopes Matthew will be more tolerant than most of the Londoners she has met.THE CORNFLAKE HOUSE is a delightfully, offbeat tale about a family that emphasizes its differences from the norm even as that causes problems of distrust and hatred. The characters are mostly eccentric, but in a convincing way. The story line is entertaining as readers relish the various oddities of Victory and her children. Dr. Covey embraces that tolerance is okay but not enough. Acceptance and taking pleasure from our differences leads to fulfillment. In her debut novel, Deborah Gregory provides that message in an enjoyable tale.Harriet Klausner

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. An excellent introduction to use of the case study method in spiritual care By John O The Pastoral Caregiver's casebook series by John J. Gleason are an excellent resource for introducing chaplains and CPE students to the case study method for discussion and reflection. The cases are detailed enough to lend themselves to in-depth discussion, yet concise enough that they can be readily digested and discussed without a lot of advance reading or preparation. My suggestion to the previous reviewer would be to also pick up a copy of "Spiritual Care in Practice: Case Studies in Healthcare Chaplaincy," edited by George Fitchett and Steve Nolan. I now use both resources with my CPE groups for case study discussion. The nice thing about Gleason's book is the brevity of the case examples combined with the variety of cases covered. If you are looking to really drill down deep with analysis, assessment, outcomes, and dialogue as part of case studies, I would recommend the Fitchett and Nolan book, however Gleason's series are great for introducing CPE students and chaplains to the case study approach.

About the Author Christopher Papadopoulos, the author, lives near Montreal, the city in which he was born. He holds bachelor degrees in education and history from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and has served as both a primary and high school teacher. Based on his desire to help create a better world, in 1993 he ran for parliament in the Canadian federal elections. Realizing that a world of peace and harmony begins within the individual, he then embarked on an inner journey toward greater self-awareness. He works with individuals and groups, guiding others to experience peace through the process of his own self-discovery.Eckhart Tolle, who wrote the Forewordd to the book, is considered one of the most influencial writers of our time. He is the author of the New York Times bestseller The Power of Now and A New Earth, the book on which Oprah based her first global webinar series.Eckhart is a spiritual teacher, as well. He was born in Germany and educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. When he was 29 years old Eckhart had a profound inner transformation that radically changed his life’s direction. It has had a powerful impact on me.One of my friends read that long and bizarre ''one star'' review and had doubts about buying this book. After reading that review I decided to go back and reread the book for her sake and to make sure I wasn't imagining things.I am not sure if that reviewer was reading the same book because nowhere did the author claim to have only meditated for a year and a half or imply that thoughts were the ''enemy'' or that sitting down to meditate, pray or chant was bad. On the contrary! the author has a very inclusive tone about all practices and traditions that encourages you to add the book's techniques to your own techniques and daily routines to make them more effective. Highly recommended.

He teaches us a simple concept of living PEACE and what happiness and blessings can be gleaned from this practice.It is a very strait forward teaching but with Christopher’s dynamic writing style he brings each page to life for the reader.I recommend this book to all.

It took me a long time to read it, because I had to keep going back to previous statements and paragraphs to more fully digest the amazing bounty of truth and serenity of each page. I'm now halfway through my 3rd time, and feel the love and peace growing in me daily...... Life changing, and as the author says... "This is your roadmap back home". You have found your way, thanks to Eckhart, and taken his works into full bloom !!!! Thank you, Christopher, for this gem. I don't know how you could find a way to write another book on this theme. It is all here, ..... hopefully , for all. Bravo ! Bernard Francis.

A very honest guide to a relationship with God By Amazon Customer This is a very easy book to read and understand through examples of movies we are all familiar with as well as Biblical Scripture to illustrate the point. My husband was reading it. It was a Christmas gift from our son When I noticed tears in his eyes at one point I asked him about it. He made the comment that I should also read it. I found it amazing and realized that women could gather tremendous insight into the journey to God as well as the thought process of men. I highly recommend this book to women as well as men. You will not be sorry.

We only were supposed to read the first few chapters, but once I started I didn't want to put it down. It's really good. The way David Dusek explains things and uses examples in his life really lets you connect with him and see similarities in your life and his. A lot of what he talks about in the book hits close to home if you were a man growing up in the past 50 years (or more). I love this book and have started my 2nd read through of it just to make sure I didn't miss anything the first time!

It comes at you at ground level and holds no punches. It will speak to your heart just as a men-to-man encounter would do. There is no stereotypical "Christian Man" in this world. We all come from different walks of life, age groups and experiences. Many are veterans which this book easily resonates with as much of it is written from the perspective of a warrior fresh from the battle.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great Story, A Page Turner, Felt Very Real By Dan Absalonson I wasn't really sure what to expect with this book but it was an awesome read. I think I read it in only four sittings which is saying a lot because a) I'm really busy with two jobs and four kids, and b) it's over 300 pages long.I've never read a story about a screenwriter trying to make it in Hollywood, but it was a blast. Before reading the first word I was already interested. I'm a writer and I love movies. I've toyed with a script, getting up to like 13 pages, but I stick to fiction. That said I loved the parts of this story where the main character Trent got down to writing. There were tons of awesome scenes of him getting the writing done driven by inspiration, a deadline, or both. It's always cool to see how others write and even though Trent is a fictional character he sure feels real when you're reading the book. I loved seeing him struggle, and man did he struggle in this book. It made me root for him big time.Jim Vines writes a great story. It was an easy read. The story moves at a great pace. It's not clogged up with unnecessary scenes or description. Just story. Even though the book is fairly long I sat down and before I knew it I had read like 74 pages. I think I read 5 pages for my first reading session, then knocked out the rest of the 300 or so pages in only three more reading sessions.The crude language and sex scenes in this book weren't my cup of tea. I did appreciate, however, that the scene would always end before going into much detail. The characters acted like real people do and you get the good and bad with that. I guess when you're dealing with characters in Hollywood anything less than a bunch of jerks would be unrealistic.I loved how the book was written in first person. It was like reading a memoir more than a fictional story which was pretty sweet. The story had a great flow and it was fun to go for a ride through Hollywood with Trent as he struggles to get his art onto the page and hopefully onto the big screen.

The characters in the story were well developed and have stayed with me days after finishing! I hope there will be a second story!

A book about a screenwriter written by a screenwriter who knows the Hollywood/Los Angeles movie world from the inside out, it's authentic and entertaining. As a former filmmaker myself, these are the stories that come out of learning to navigate the world of film, accepting the fact that most of the people are wannabes, losers, players, liars, and all of them at once, but still keeping to the craft because that's simply who you are.If you like good reads and want to know screenwriting is like from a great screenwriter, then this is the book for you.
