Jochym The content of "Good Baby, Bad Sleeper" is the answer I had been searching for to help me teach my daughter the skills she needed to sleep on her own. It not only changed the way I approach bedtime, but the way I think about my daughter's needs and my role as her Mom in every aspect of her life. The book holds up to it's claim to give you "tools and resources for calming your child's mind, calming your child's heart, and calming your child's body", but what I never anticipated is how the techniques in the book and their impact have calmed my own mind, heart, and body. I feel like a better Mom, wife, and overall person for having learned to tap into my daughter's and my own energetic selves.Stephanie takes her time to lovingly, yet directly walk the reader through the foundation of her approach based in neurology and energy medicine. This laid the groundwork so that I already felt much more prepared to teach my daughter to sleep before I even read about the techniques. Speaking of these techniques, the book clearly explains the steps to take in order to change the way your baby sleeps based on his/her own sleep personality.My daughter's main "problem" was an inability to fall asleep on her own without me or my husband holding/rocking/nursing her, and then when she woke naturally in the night she did not know how to fall back asleep without our help. As an infant she slept fairly well, but somewhere around 4-5 months everything changed and we were at our wits end. Implementing Stephanie's techniques changed our lives - plain and simple! The very first night we put our plan into practice, our daughter fell asleep with zero tears and since then has gone from multiple wakings in the night and short, non-restorative naps to sleeping through the night and napping with ease.I can not recommend "Good Baby, Bad Sleeper" and Stephanie's work enough. It will empower you to get in tune to your baby's needs and result in better sleep for your entire family! Once you start sleeping, the possibilities for you and your family are endless!!

A Must Read for All Parents By Jen Armento Good Baby, Bad Sleeper not only releases parents from the preconceived notion that a child’s sleep is a black or white issue but the author helps parents to find trust in their intuitive sense of how best to meet their own child’s specific sleep needs. The author’s methods of approaching sleep in a heart centered way helps a family to connect and align themselves to each other rather than feeling divided and as if bedtime were a battle to be won. The foundation and techniques presented in Good Baby, Bad Sleeper are real life methods that families will be able to use not just in infancy, but in all stages of their child’s life. Reading this book helped our family to fill in the missing pieces that were making bedtime a bit of a struggle for us and our 4 year old. Not only has it helped with sleep, but the same techniques are helping us to peacefully wake up a sleepy preschooler when it’s time for school. The chaos that used to ensue on school mornings is replaced with calmness and smiles-all by using the same techniques the author recommends for sleep! Even if you don’t currently have a “bad sleeper” I recommend reading this book. At some point in our children’s lives they will most likely go through a stage of having sleep trouble and having heart centered techniques in your parenting toolkit will help you be able to meet their needs and your own with the love and connection that we naturally desire for our families.

When our kids aren’t sleeping, there tends to be a panic that arises from our own exhaustion and concern for our children. "Good Baby, Bad Sleeper" empowers the reader through giving us tools to shift from the desperation and nowhere land of fixating on thoughts such as “what is wrong with my kid, why won’t he/she sleep and how can I fix it” to empowering us to ask questions that awakens a deeper knowing within. From this place we can actually discover the answers that will help us help our children. This book shows us that there are real solutions that don’t involve potentially harming our children through "crying it out" or the other extreme of indulging their every need knowing on some level that there has to be a better way. No doubt, if you implement even a few of the strategies in this book and incorporate the concepts into the way you relate to your children, you will not only learn how to help your child sleep, but you will help strengthen your bond with your child. This book is going to help countless of parents and children get a better night's sleep. I would have given anything to have had this book when my son was younger.
