Completely accessible for everyone from the cradle Episcopalian to even the most fervent of the "spiritual but not religious" crowd, this book fully captured the essence of what it means to be a member of the Episcopal Church in the 21st century and how the denomination is moving in the world to better the lives of non-members as well. Greg Garrett delivers a fully accurate and heartfelt portrayal of a religious body that has weathered its fair share of struggles to emerge a little bit smaller but nevertheless fully-primed (and stronger than before on many levels) to share and live out the Good News. Garrett's treatment of the subject matter makes it abundantly clear that his love for the Episcopal Church runs deep and is eternal. Whether you're an Episcopalian yourself, a member of another faith tradition who'd like to know more about others, a seeker in general, or just a curious soul, I recommend giving this one a read.(I must add as well that I'm recommending this book to my clergy to supplement the Confirmation materials at my parish. This heartfelt look into the Episcopal Church is far more engaging than anything else anyone might use for such curricula.)

He has a way of cutting to chase and connecting to readers' hearts. My Church is Not Dying did not disappoint. It's thought-provoking, well written and engaging.

Received well by the lay people in my congregations and will be the source for our Advent study this year. I would recommend it to anyone wanting reflections on the episcopal Church.
